Successful Purchase of First Doosan Machine Tool
In 2009, the company purchased its first Doosan machine tool. Yu Thor Hock, Operations Manager at Perfect Team Engineering, said: “We ran some tests on the Doosan PUMA 480XL heavy-duty turning center, machining a thread with a diameter of Ø13 3/8 inches with a clamping length of 25mm. The machine was very, very smooth during the cutting process. Compared to other machines in the workshop, the Doosan machine is extremely precise, highly functional, and requires less maintenance. We were very satisfied with the results of this experiment and the performance of the PUMA 480XL.”
Doosan 5-Axis Machine Reduces Processing Time and Improves Efficiency
Mr. Yu said: “In the machining industry, your company should have at least one 5-axis machine tool. It can bring you a lot of business.” In 2015, Perfect Team Engineering wanted to improve their ability to produce complex parts, but at that time, there was no equipment in the workshop that could efficiently produce such products. Due to the success with the PUMA 480XL, they chose a Doosan VC 630 / 5AX.
Mr. Yu said: “We wanted to use a 5-axis machine tool to reduce the machining process.” “We have used other 3-axis and 4-axis machine tools, but many steps are involved in completing part machining. With a 5-axis machine tool, the entire part can be completed in just two steps. This overall shortens the delivery time and reduces labor and total production costs.”
Ensuring Precision in Complex Machining of High-Hardness Materials
A new project came into the workshop that required complex machining of high-hardness materials. The DVF 5000 was chosen because it eliminates multiple setups, thus reducing machining time and downtime. Mr. Yu said: “This time we didn’t even consider other Brands, but were determined to buy Doosan. The DVF 5000 we purchased has an inspection function. We particularly like this function because we can inspect the Size of the parts after machining using a Renishaw probe.”

Today, Perfect Team Engineering's workshop has about 42 machines, 80% of which are Doosan. Mr. Yu concluded: “Doosan machine tools require less maintenance, are precise, and highly functional. I also think that Doosan's customer support is excellent; the response time is very fast. That’s why we are satisfied with Doosan machine tools.”
